Strict NAT with an Xbox
Below you will find a few options to help resolve "Strict" NAT when using our network. They should be performed in a top-to-bottom manner and you should check your NAT type each time before moving on to the next option. You should only move on to the next option if the previous option didn't resolve your issue.
Turn off "Instant On"To turn off "Instant on" go to the Xbox home screen and navigate to "Settings" by pressing the Xbox button on your controller. Once you have done this then navigate to "Power & startup" and select "Power mode & startup." Under the "Power mode" section, select "Energy-saving". You need to shutdown the Xbox and power it back on after performing this step.Hard ResetTo "Hard Reset" your UPNP connections you can reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the console until the console reboots.UPNP RenwalThis step should only need to be performed as a last step or as an occasional option after you have turned off "Instant On"hold LT + RT + LB + RB to access an ‘Advanced’ screen. Once here, your Xbox will attempt to renew its UPnP leases. Bare in mind that this process can take several minutes to complete, so be patient.
